(Early) Tarot Tuesday!

We can go ahead and start calibrating the card-o-scope and check what the Astral Light is up to today, this week or the coming months. So if you have a question, bring it on.
I've been studying and practicing the Tarot for about 2 years now and having cast a few spreads for friends who found it helpful I thought I might make a deal with anyone that happens to read this.
Here is the deal, I will repost this on the last Tuesday of every month and will try to answer your query before the end of the month. Post a comment below requesting for a reading within the week of posting, depending on the number of comments and the situation I can either offer a lengthy reading or a three card reading. What I request back from you is some feedback about your situation and in case of some outcome what I got right and what I got wrong.
So, if you have a situation where you want to know what the Astral Light is up to, be it personal, general or on a broader scale, or want to know what the week or month ahead has in store for you, why then, you know what to do. I would encourage you to post it publicly below, as for others to get an idea of what I have to offer, to encourage discussion and what divination is about in general but if your situation is delicate post a comment marked NOT FOR POSTING explaining your situation and I'll consider it on a case by case basis.
That said, divination is like weather forecasting not a tablet of truth handed down from above, so take the advice I give you through the cards as such. Any unfortunate situation you get yourself into is entirely the responsibility of the querent!
If you wish to make a donation for the readings, though it is not required, you can do so through Paypal by clicking the pentacle.

Re: Reading
I will get to your query tonight, meanwhile I'll start crafting a spread for you. I think a five card: situation, internal influence, external influence, what is needed from you and understanding should be apt for you query but I will give it some further thought.

Re: Reading
Sunday and yesterday were still quite thundery so I didn't cast your reading until today. Before we commence however, I would like to restate that the Tarot is like weather forecasting and not a tablet of truth handed form above. The results of a reading should be treated as advice from a good friend not as an infallible source of truth. What you do with the advice you receive should be done reflexively not compulsively. Take your time to digest what I say through the cards, try to see how it fits with you and then act accordingly. Lastly, I would also like to point out that the Tarot can be quite harsh and often it veers us into some directions that didn't seem obvious.
Here is the spread that I crafted for you, the position of the cards are as follow: Center, the situation; to the left internal influences you are not aware of; to the right, external influences you are aware; bottom, what is needed for resolution and top the outcome or the understanding.
Ok, so now to the reading. Here is a picture of it, please save it somewhere for your own records and while you read and reread what I say look at the cards and see if you can unpack things.
The most obvious thing about the reading is that you drew all the cards reversed. That could be a strong statement that the answer to your general question is negative. Living where you live right now seems to be indicative that it is detrimental for your well-being. However, you didn't need the cards to tell you that did you? How do you actually feel? However, the fact that the Tarot is saying it strongly suggests to me that a clear answer seems to be something that you need to hear. The Tarot goes further than that and tells us what is behind this situation, so now to the details.
The situation is The King of Wands, Reversed :
The Wands are the suit of Fire and it symbolizes action for which this card is the King. However since it is reversed it could mean that you feel restricted, perhaps even oppressed where you currently are. It can also be the opposite of a man sure of his decisions which is indecisive, and perhaps this indecisiveness is causing you psychological trouble or some other sort of "mental constipation" so to speak.
The internal influences you are not aware of is Strength, Reversed :
This is the card --and the last one-- that you will need to work upon the most because it deals with your subconscious and as with anything of that sort it won't be obvious for you to figure out and will require willed introspection. This is one of the Trump cards, the main cards of the Tarot, again, as well as the Magician. You having drawn a Trump card for the internal influences makes me think that a considerable part of the issue is due to your own doing, specifically how you deal with the situation. This card reversed means weakness, doubt, lack of discipline or something along those lines. It could be, taking into account the previous card, that the reason why you are not able to do decisive action is because you have not developed the internal capacities for decision making to an extent that makes you feel confident of your own decisions. As with anything, I would recommend to figure out why. If my comment is true, have you seen JMG's posts about training the will?
External influences you are aware of is The Queen of Pentacles, Reversed:
Something fundamental about the things that you used to like about were you live have been lost for you. I can't tell exactly what it is, perhaps you could tell me and see what else comes up. But the general vibe I get is of being gloomy, of a Queen of Nature that has lost its connection to the Earth. You are perhaps feeling lost or alone at the place you used to call home and this might have made you to stop acting or feeling nurtured by the place but rather bitter-sweet now, making you to withdraw into yourself. Disconnect is the main theme here, disconnect from something essential.
What is needed for resolution is depicted by The Page of Swords, Reversed :
Confidence. You need to trust yourself, however in your case this can be tricky because it's doubt that you are facing! This are troubled times and can be hard to make a decision about things when so many currents are going into so many different ways. The reading in general is talking about you. What is your gut telling you? Analyze what it is saying to you, perhaps make a list or journal about, really take the time to digest the forces that are affecting your situation. Doubt, after all, in my experience is about not paying enough attention, deep down you know what you want, always, it only takes for you to take apart everything that is surrounding you and listen, really listen. Sit yourself quietly and let your mind hover around the situation and start taking it apart, slowly and steadily. What are they saying?
Lastly, for the resolution or understanding you got nothing else than The Magician, Reversed . A perfect symbol for this as the Magician is a master of his own destiny and in this case it is those forces that are having trouble manifesting. You are lacking will power, and if you go through the rigor of dissecting and facing things, you will find out what is making you this way. How exactly are you the Magician reversed? Facing our own internal struggles is hard, very hard. The trick really is to look at our issues straight in the eye and endure the gaze. Look deeply within you, it might be very uncomfortable to look at our weak points but still do it. However, do not do it forcefully, you need to look at it with wisdom, lovingly and with compassion towards yourself. This is not about beating yourself up, if this is the case, but rather about making yourself grow.
This is my interpretation of the cards. Of course, because I know nothing else about you or your situation, I can only be general and I have also done it on purpose for the task of figuring out what the cards are telling you is ultimately yours. However, do not look at what makes sense or not in a dismissive way, look at the interpretation as guidepost and see where the actual meaning lies. Of course, you are welcome to comment and if you tell me more about it --what makes sense, what doesn't at all and what is luke warm-- we can better tune in the general meanings to something specific. Remember, divination is not about testing if it is right or wrong, it is about seeing how it reflects your own situation like a mirror.

Re: Reading
Thanks for this reading. More clarity here than I could hope for. All in all the cards, and your interpretation, were quite clear and relevant and give me much food for thought. I've given a little more background with some comments below. Any further thoughts you might have I'd be pleased to receive.
Thanks, Jeff
All cards reversed; (my first thought when I saw the spread was “Why did he print this upside down”)
That's about as clear as can be and I guess I did need to hear that how I feel is really how it is; seems like I'm in another one of those “learning and growing” situations.
Situation;
indecisive/oppressed? Yes indeed. I'm 70 years old, have COPD/emphysema, in a house inherited from my wifes' father (we turned this place down 50 years ago as it's right on a busy freeway and very noisy). My wife (Teresa) died last year (from cancer) after spending 2 or 3 years working hard to fence the property and plant fruit trees and grapes for food. There was a two year court battle over property boundaries that took an emotional toll. Her dad and mom both died here also. Lots of mixed vibes. In my condition just showering or doing laundry is difficult so even thinking about selling and moving is overwhelming and I feel no pull to anyplace in particular. I've found in the past that changing places just postpones learning what I need to learn where I am. I can hire help for the outside work.
Internal influences not aware of;
I do tend to put off decisions with much deliberation; trying to weigh what I think I want with what I feel the time requires. I don't like to make snap decisions. I'm alone for the first time in 50 years and I got used to much discussion with my wife about what to do and when, along with reading the I Ching for guidance. Being on my own is new.
External influences am aware of;
“Something fundamental about the things that you used to like about were you live have been lost for you. I can't tell exactly what it is, perhaps you could tell me and see what else comes up. But the general vibe I get is of being gloomy, of a Queen of Nature that has lost its connection to the Earth. Disconnect is the main theme here, disconnect of something essential.”
Yep! Boy was this spot on. I lost my Queen of Nature (Teresa) and her energy is sorely missed. My ties to here are so much less personal and forging my own relationship with this place is challenging to say the least.
What is needed for resolution;
Prioritize what I can do make this place my own and start doing it. Clear out stuff inside and out; 60 years of accumulation can be dispursed slowly but surely. This applies to myself as well as externals.
Outcome or understanding;
Oh my, nothing lightweight or easy here. Definitely have some issues with will and procrastination that make things more difficult than they have to be. Just getting started is half the battle with me, and having a plan with steps to follow helps. This will take more time and thought to investigate.
Re: Reading
I'm happy you found it relevant, during my interpretation I got a feeling that I shouldn't be too hard on it --the Tarot can be quite blunt. It's good that you've taken it as food for thought and not as personal attack! That does happen.
If you feel you have work to do there then definitely consider it, the thrust of it is some sort of inactivity so if you feel like that's what you have to do, definitely do it. Just be easy on yourself and take it slowly. I am very pleased in the way you took the interpretation so thank you for that! I don't think I have any additional comments for you because it seems you know what the cards are trying to tell you.
Once I get back to Washington State, I'd be happy to help you here and there and move stuff around also if you'd be up to that! If that is were you happen to live, I assumed it because your username has WA in it.
Re: Reading
Thank you for that. Teresa was able to move on at home peacefully with loving family with her; her 5 year old niece sweetly cared for us all.
"..during my interpretation I got a feeling that I shouldn't be too hard on it --the Tarot can be quite blunt"
I appreciate the bluntness of your interpretation; it was what was needed. Many aspects of my situation were clarified. Inactivity is rather forced upon me by physical limitations and at the same time small steps will add up. Loving acceptance has replaced forced angst and I give thanks for that.
I am indeed in WA, Kelso/Longview area. Your very kind offer to help "move stuff around" touched me deeply. I'd feel uncomfortable with that as I'd be of so little help! LOL
That said, if you're ever down this way and wanted to come by and see this crazy place it would be wonderful and pizza and beer, or whatever, is on me.
May Peace and Harmony be yours,
Jeff
Re: Reading
As for inactivity, it's much more important to get your mind moving, releasing internal blocks and limitations than actually moving stuff around, that a volunteer can help with ;-) Have you seen JMG recent posts on the Order of Spiritual Alchemy? That could be worthwhile doing if you'd like.
I'm very happy that I could help your situation and very much appreciate your generous donation. Will definitely make good use of it.
With my best, as always,
Augusto
