Tarot Tuesday!

Here we go with another iteration of Tarot Tuesday so we can go ahead and start calibrating the card-o-scope and check what the Astral Light is up to today, this week or the coming months. So if you have a question, bring it on.
I've been studying and practicing the Tarot for about 2 years now and having cast a few spreads for friends who found it helpful I thought I might make a deal with anyone that happens to read this.
Here is the deal, I will repost this on the last Tuesday of every month and will try to answer your query before the end of the month. Post a comment below requesting for a reading within the week of posting, depending on the number of comments and the situation I can either offer a lengthy reading or a three card reading. What I request back from you is some feedback about your situation and in case of some outcome what I got right and what I got wrong.
So, if you have a situation where you want to know what the Astral Light is up to, be it personal, general or on a broader scale, or want to know what the week or month ahead has in store for you, why then, you know what to do. I would encourage you to post it publicly below, as for others to get an idea of what I have to offer, to encourage discussion and what divination is about in general but if your situation is delicate post a comment marked NOT FOR POSTING explaining your situation and I'll consider it on a case by case basis.
That said, divination is like weather forecasting not a tablet of truth handed down from above, so take the advice I give you through the cards as such. Any unfortunate situation you get yourself into is entirely the responsibility of the querent!
If you wish to make a donation for the readings, though it is not required, you can do so through Paypal by clicking the pentacle.

For this round, I have a financial/work question. A big part of my focus for the next couple of years is working some side jobs to get rid of my student loans. However, I'm looking at my income from these sources and it is less than I had planned for.
Would the tarot have any advice on other jobs or areas I could focus my efforts on to get ahead financially?
Thanks,
Tamanous

I'm glad it was accurate and I hope it also will provide some guidance as the events finish to unfold.
I will craft a spread for you according to your query and get back to you. I think one with various influences economically speaking and what changes need to be done to do better would be good.
By the way, do you practice a daily banishing?
no subject
Yes, I do a sphere of protection daily, though I'm working my way through the dolmen arch and am just getting to the banishment of air portion.

Meanwhile, let me get back to your query.

First of all, how are you dealing with the result of your first reading? Have you been able to work towards resolving that?
With that said, here is your reading for your current question:
For this kind of what's-up-and-what-can-I-do-about-it situations I like to do this five card spread. The positions are: For the center, the issue or the situation; to the left, influences you are not aware of; to the right, influences you are aware of; bottom, what is needed for resolution and lastly, on top, what is the outcome or understanding.
In general, what the cards are telling you is that what you think you need to do is not what you need right now, but instead of focusing so much on your problems you should focus on your gifts and opportunities. As I understand, since I did not study in the U.S, student loans are pretty grim so perhaps that is not something that can be resolved as easily and as fast as one might like and that trying to do so will remove energy that could be put to better use in spite of not giving you the immediate satisfaction of getting debt from your shoulders, but rather that could give you better results in the long run.
The situation: The Star, Reversed .
Getting out of a big loan, as possibly a university loan is, isn't a trivial thing to do. This card indicates to me that you are being a little too pessimistic about your situation, perhaps even to the point that you are adding unnecessary burden to your life with that attitude and that perhaps you are putting too much of your hopes on getting out of it faster than what is possible for your means.
Influences you are not aware of: Ten of Pentacles .
No surprises here, though it is possible you are not giving this the importance it has. It is possible, you should confirm this, that even though you are indebted your studies have provided you with some sort of security, perhaps getting a university education got you a job, even if you don't appreciate it. This might be a narrow and dull situation, but at least it's somewhat stable, something that many people do not have at this time.
Influences you are aware of: The Ace of Swords
To me this card's focus is on commitment to truth. What truth could mean in this case depends on many things, but I understand that you have completed the integration of the SoP to your daily routine and that your are pursuing a very thorough course of occultism, as the Dolmen Arch is, so perhaps that has been a source of truth and clarity for you. One thing to consider is that swords are double edged --and Swords being the realm of the mind-- it means that though knowledge and reasoning can take you to great heights they can also distance you from ordinary life. In this case, this can be a good thing, since if you don't like your job and you feel restricted by debt you can always spend some time within the magical realms and its teachings. This sword, as you can see in the image, can take you very far from this, as Magic and Occutlism are deeper than what could seem in first sight. Take advantage of this, perhaps instead of rushing by getting side jobs, learn to live comfortably with what you have and the situation you are in, keep a steady pace and devout more time to occultism instead.
What is needed for resolution: Nine of Cups, Reversed .
Don't look for what you are missing but look at what you have. This card is calling for you to shift from your material obsessions into focusing on remaining truthful and honest with yourself. This can either be truth in its philosophical meaning or as a warning to stay away from easy money and wishful thinking, or from opportunities that do not pay the effort. Remain grounded and be don't let your passions dictate your actions.
The Outcome or understanding: The Devil : This is one of the cards that has too much of a Christian connotation to my taste but it is important to understand it in its own terms to make a meaningful reading out of it. In this case, this card is telling us that the outcome is that you won't be able to come out of your student loans for the time being and you might feel oppressed by that. However, remember the advice that the cards are giving you. Getting rid of debt should not be a necessary step before doing other things with your life and enjoying it. Stay grounded in though and emotion, be patient and keep your search of what is true to you and the quest of Truth itself as a weapon that can take you away from the shackles you have now around your neck, but do not dispair, for the chains are not as tight as you think they are. You can use this opportunity to find out what is it that you want from this life and when the time comes, you'll be ready to hit the road full stride.

Thanks so much for the reading! I've made progress on working on my emotional, physical and spiritual growth since that first Tarot spread you did. Your notice that fully completing the daily banish ritual would be of assistance was a good motivator to get me to the full thing. I definitely haven't resolved everything, but I'm feeling much more balanced and that the boil of pain has at least been lanced and not left to fester.
As for this reading, I can't say I'm super happy with being told my plan of attack is wrong haha. I do like to think I'm super smart and know what I need to do :p I understand that a large part of that question comes out of fear. I'm worried about inflation, I have a large debt load that takes a big portion of my monthly income that even makes the idea of a family/home non-viable and I've had a history of not being in a good financial place and having to depend on others. That said, fear is not a great place to start from when trying to plan out a life and address concerns. So I appreciate the call outs to primarily focus on A) Gratitude for what I have (I did come out of the Covid Lockdowns in a better place then most and my job does make me happy) B) Double down on my spiritual path (Dolmen Arch certainly gives me a lot to work on) and C) Dial back on the extra work and smell the roses a bit.
As my divination/meditation for today, I decided to ask my Tarot "Was Open Spaces reading/interpretation correct?". Based on my understanding, I'd say it greatly aligns with what you called out. I did the following spread, based on Josephine McCarthy's Yes/No Layout like this:
2 1 5
3 6 4
Yes/No Spread
1- What the Question is About- 9 of Pentacles- I take this to be in reference to my original question to you regarding finances. My specific interpretation is that the figure is looking to the bird (a messenger) while connecting to the hanging crops (wealth) below.
2- The Relevant Past- Death- This is in relation to my past, where I've ended a number of old patterns and relationships and am trying to restart in a new direction.
3- Difficulties to Overcome- The Fool- This seems to highly relate to what you've stated in this reading. I've attempted to resolve my concerns through actions which may not have been as wisely thought out.
4- Help you are given- Judgement- You literally provided me a judgment on the matter, though I have a feeling this also pertains to my own decisions and self balancing.
5- The future outcome- The Magician- As a result of this advice, I'll become more focused on the spiritual/occult and become more a man of action and well balanced.
6- The answer- 8 of Cups- While this card might initially seem to be a No, given it's more negative nature, it feels like a "Yes, it'll be a hard journey, and potentially a lonely one, but it's one you need to take" Furthermore, it seems to be a figure moving away from the moon, associated with illusion, even as it gazes back on it.
So all in all, I think you were right on the ball. Thanks so much. If you have a different interpretation, I'm all ears as well since you're the more advanced student here :p

The Tarot has that quality sometimes, and it can be brutally honest about it. That's what I like about it actually, I am a little hard headed, so I need some hard knocking to listen. I've been told many times, nope, you are not asking the right thing, here is what you really need to know. It is sometimes spooky to feel that a pack of cards knows more about you than you do and it is also a quality you start to get yourself. That is how intuition works and the Tarot is one of the best ways of developing it, if you can handle the initial few months of absorbing all the information, since well, there are a lot of cards to learn.
That said though, I could've made it a little bit more smooth!
Oh I felt that this morning when I opened my blog :-P. I got a thudding "fine!" when I opened my inbox.
Oh, yes, yes exactly. And fear is a good thing until it becomes debilitating. If I may tone down my interpretation a bit (and I am happy that you pointed out that if anything, the interpretation is what would be wrong, not the cards laid out), it is definitely about balancing the whole thing, not treating paying off your debt with less seriousness. The thing to watch out for is the cost/benefit of your efforts. If you start pushing too hard by having the money dimension as the only thing that matters, you risk burn-out and your mental and physical health and also putting Magic in the back burner o leaving it completely and that can be counter productive firstly because you can do Magic to get good opportunities to get money or ways to refinance your debt and secondly there is no single better grounding and energizing tool that I know of.
I am also happy that you decided to take the situation in your own hands by yourself casting a reading. Putting the responsibility of a situation on a reading and taking it blindly gets you a ticket for me not casting any more readings for such a person.
Regarding your spread:
The nine of pentacles is also a call of a need of prudence and of enjoyment of the wealth that you have. Also notice in the 8 of Cups that it could be a solar eclipse or a very bright night which is a call for you to tune in into your intuition, to look within yourself rather than to the outer world for focusing yourself too much on that can be fruitless journeys. I also notice that this two cards are the previous ones to the ones I drew for you. What do you make of that? (You might want to know, that I also noticed this on my reading regarding this two cards, though I didn't mention it, the previous steps seemed important). The Magician is also a master of his own destiny and I also notice that you drew 4 Trumps out of 6 cards, them surrounding the pips. What could that be a symbol of?

Yep, that was totally my initial reaction haha I think I huffed a little before getting over myself. That's a good callout, I have a habit of pushing hard in a single direction, often to the detriment of other factors in my life. If magic is to play a role in my life, it can't just be a side thing I squeeze in for five minutes a day.
Interesting call out for the 8 of cups! I wasn't quite sure of what to make of the bright figure behind the moon on my own reading. I don't really believe in coincidences, with the 8 of cups and the 9 of pentacles being your previous cards, I'll take that as a further sign we tuned in to each correctly. As for the trumps surround the "me" and "outcome" in the situation, I feel that it's done with extra emphasis, like if you or I were to pound a table while stating "You need to listen, this is important".
