Divination offering

Another month has passed so here is another divination offering. If you have a question, I'll be happy to use geomancy or the tarot about it. That said, divination is like weather forecasting not a tablet of truth handed down from above, so take the advice I give you through the reading as such. The conditions that divination taps into are also in constant flux, the same as atmospheric pressure and the Moon. Any actions taken from the information of the readings are entirely the responsibility of the querent and do not replace nor pretend to be professional legal, medical or spiritual counseling.

Be sure to ask questions to which you want to know the answer. Also, divination doesn't always tell you about things you already know about, actually, it almost never does! My suggestion is that you question yourself, especially on things that make you think or flinch if any, and consider the points mentioned from a stance of possibility not of confirmation bias or it's diametrical opposite, falsification bias.

Your housing situation does seem complicated according to the chart.

Tell me a little bit about it. Did you just had to move or something similar? The Third Triplicity which speaks about housing and surroundings shows some trouble, and the The Way of Points --geomancy's way of revealing the hidden forces of a situation-- leads to your home with the figure that corresponds to general loss, which seems to relate to the nature of you asking, of course.

Is this need for you to want to move come from somewhere you spend time in? Where are you staying currently?

As the Judge, the answer to your question you drew Carchar. For the Right Witness, yourself, you drew Coch and for the Left Witness, the situation been asked about, you drew Mab. In general this is not a favorable reading so the oracle is recommending this is not a good time to look into changing your housing situation. Coch tells me you might be approaching the situation from a place of confusion and perhaps some intensity that is making you loose clarity. The situation, given Mab, seems to be too energetic and prone to conflict. These are unfavorable figures for moving right now. Bit if you elaborate, I'll see what else I can tell.

In general, we're hoping the move is a positive. We want to move outside of our small city to a smallish landholding where we can homestead and have some room to take in a relative who needs help. The negativity for me comes in because the town we currently live in voted to allow businesses to discriminate against people like us last year so I don't want to live in the city limits any more, give them my tax money etc. So yes, it is emotionally complicated but I feel a strong pull to a bigger, better place for us. We moved here decades ago thinking this would a good place to ride out the decline and it turned out to be dangerous to our family. It felt like a loss for a long time.

Yes, Geomancy can be like that! Sorry... But with three unfortunate figures as the Witnesses and the Judge it seems a clear 'NO' from the perspective of Geomancy. That said, that doesn't mean that you should stay there forever Just that at the moment of your asking it doesn't seem the right move with the reasons I mentioned above.

I do see that your current place of residence has the difficulties you mention since the figure for 'Loss' is repeated on the positions of your current home, your past etc.

What things within your own home could you change to make the stay more comfortable? This is a question for yourself.

One thing I picked up recently from a Magic Monday is that I should probably start asking for a time frame in divination requests. I had been trying to ask open ended questions to get an answer that might go beyond my blind spots but maybe it's an implied "right now" when I ask instead of my intention of a broader question.

We've got a realtor who's helping us and at the moment I asked the question, I knew all the houses on the market weren't right for us. We think more choices will be on the market in the next few months....and we are watching prices coming down, too.

Yes, it's much easier and accurate if you give the direction, otherwise it becomes very general.

The conditions that divination tap into are like the weather, in constant flux.

Perhaps that's why the reading was so sharp, meaning that at the moment of your asking no options were good and doing it forcefully would've been a bad idea.

I'm sorry to say though, that the answer is a strong 'NO'. You drew Colled, or loss, for both witnesses so it doesn't seem to be a good idea to look into the Holy Celtic Church International and the influence to that seems to come from a place you frequent.

Do you have a close friend of lover that has told you it might be a good idea to join the HCCI by any chance? I see the figure for "joining" on that position.

Thank you very much for responding; the answer is admittedly disappointing, but I will take it into serious consideration. I do have a couple of friends within the HCCI who have recommended their jurisdiction to me. I would be interested in knowing more about the "why" of the oracle saying NO (e.g. is something going on behind the scenes that I should avoid), but I don't know if geomancy is able to give me that kind of answer. Having said that, I really do appreciate the service you provided.

I'm going to try and make a long story short. Up until a few months ago I was in discernment for ordination in the Episcopal Church, but for various reasons have decided that I might not be a good fit as a priest within the ECUSA. So, I'm looking at smaller independent sacramental churches, preferably ones more interested in mysticism and traditional liturgy, than in getting involved in the political agenda of the Professional Managerial Class. I also feel more called to being a hermit-priest ministering to those on the fringes of society (e.g. the unchurched, subcultures such as Goth, adherents of alternative spirituality such as Druids and Hermeticists, and Romantics in general). I'm also a pagan-friendly Christian who is also a Freemason and student of the Western Mystery Tradition and would like to be part of a faith community where that isn't a problem. I mention all of this because I feel that the HCCI is one of the few traditional sacramental jurisdictions where I would fit in, as several of its clergy are also involved in various forms of alternative spirituality. So, is this a case of something being too good to be true? Is my calling elsewhere? I realize I'm asking a lot, but any elaboration on the original chart explaining why it says NO would be deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance. May God's blessings be upon you.

More than the organization it seems, given the chart, that right now it might not be a good time for you to join and taking it a step at a time seems like a good idea.

I feel I've been more or less shown the timbre of my spiritual path. It's the earthly things that are pretty challenging of late. Essentially, the times are hard for everyone, and I've been shown that I will get through this time, with help from my spiritual team and as long as I follow my spiritual path. I've also been told in no uncertain terms that I'm supposed to "rest" this upcoming year. However, there are actual real world needs and resources that are required to hold the space I'm in, and an immense amount of shame I've been struggling with about not being able to provide for myself very well the last few years. Essentially, my income has been dropping for years and I've been having to have help from family. It's very hard for me to get past feeling like a failure about this. My question is: is this the year I will stop being a mountain goat on the edge of a cliff, or is this year still about holding on and just surviving at the edges? (And, somehow, "resting" too.)

Before going into the reading. Feeling like a failure is not useful. I recommend that instead of using your energy towards shamming yourself you use it to face your situation and change it; with shame in hand and all. I know it is hard to do so because the more you face it the more shameful you feel, but that is the only way out. Remember that the devine and the people that love you do so despite your situation, there is nothing you need to prove to anyone but yourself. Honor that and then you can start doing something about it.

That said, here is your reading.

Loss as the Judge tells me that you might be stuck in that situation for at least a while and that it relates to something of your past. That said, your situation doesn't seem that unfortunate at all since you drew Bendith Fawr, or Greater Blessing for the position of what you are asking about; despite that fact that it is something that it is making you feel stuck and contained. If you and your family can afford it, I would keep working in my spirituality while material conditions improve.

I do see Ffordd in the positions if family and friends. Is staying with your family the only option or could you find a place of your own to get things moving?

I do have my own place, earnings have just dropped a lot over the last few years for several reasons including health and burnout. I am still earning money but not really quite enough to live on and my earning opportunities are somewhat limited for health reasons.

My family has been helping me financially the last several months.

Overall, in your situation I would rely on family and friends so that you can recover your health and take the opportunity of moving forward as soon as it presents itself. It seems to me you need to work on your emotional life and on acceptance. It can be challenging to adapt to circumstances we don't want to accept but the best way of dealing with those is to swallow it and start building something. Otherwise, we start sinking. Temper yourself, don't escape the world with spirituality but use it as a source to improve your situation.

I am sorry that this took so long. I went through so many things the past month that I really couldn't even get the right mindset to divine for myself! So, we are almost in the middle of the year, but here is a more detailed reading for you.

Detailing the reading above. This year you will need to focus on being calm in order to avoid missing out on a balance of criteria. Consider getting more involved in a down to earth way in order to get a picture from the ground. Do you have staff in your clinic? Co-owners or colleagues? If I ask about a man, what is the first person that comes to mind?

Regarding your familiy, kind of the same message. There is something you are not seeing clearly in terms of emotions. If there is something holding you back to accept something, consider not fighting, but rather, as a magician getting a balance between "heaven and earth", so to speak. If there are things that you want to get through balance and harmony, the Tarot suggests, is better than through barter or transactional in nature.

I am intrigued about the idea of finding the balance between heaven and earth. This is actually a theme I have been thinking about a lot. As to "down to earth" my attention is hugely focussed on my gardens (yes, plural) this year. I was up early yesterday to plant another round of potatoes - my moon calendar said a good day for planting, and that there would not be another one soon that wasn't also a clinic day, so I had to get the time to plant by waking early... not my favourite thing!

I have not been aware of any strongly unbalancing emotional burdens this year, either in myself, or in my husband. Although I do think he is beginning to realise the degree to which his physical strength is perhaps not as much as it has been as he grows into his 60's. His active farming days are becoming increasingly wearing to him, and yet he loves it more than anything. My husband is certainly the "main man" in my life just now.

I have no staff, my clinic is my sole trading operation. I am busy, seeing 30-35 people a week. It seems people are beginning to consult me for what, even to them, seem to be esoteric matters as much as for physical matters, so I continue to ask Brigid for guidance, and (through the Modern Essene Order lessons) to offer to be her healing hands, healing breath and healing voice, and hope to be of service to whoever comes.

Perhaps you might ask for some further insight into the shape of what it is that your initial reading suggests that I am not seeing clearly.

I don't know why I keep feeling stuck with this reading, but I am glad it does seem to be very busy at the clinic at the moment! And your garden sounds lovely :-)

I did get the same sense as before about being temperate but I can't pinpoint what it is about. When I asked, it seemed to suggest to keep a balance between the spiritual and the mundane as to make best use of your gifts as a healer and a devotee of Brigid. Perhaps it means to get in touch with spirituality and your gifts in a day-to-day fashion and to watch out for exalting it and/or not paying attention to other things because of it.

Well, you should know that I have not been good at developing any system of divination for myself. Perhaps this is simply a resistance I have, perhaps I should re-visit this one day. The one thing that just struck me now looking at the images of your original layout relates to an article I have been reading about "augury" which is to do with divining using the flight of birds. And it strikes me that the knave of swords appears to be fully engaged in swinging that sword, while ignoring whatever it is that the birds flying behind him are trying to "augur".

ie - perhaps the "caution" that I need is to turn around and read the augury before swinging any swords! ;)

Anyway, I will think on this some more, and perhaps come to you soon with a new question.

This is a bit old, I know, but I couldn't get out of my mind how little I got out of your divination and came here to offer if you wanted to do another reading or have another question.

But know that I think about it again, yes, definitely it means about "too eager" to swing the sword, in general. And also, of being on guard of things patiently in the areas mentioned.
