Spot on. It IS going to be a lot of work. I'm an introvert and I will have to do a lot of work on myself to make friends and meet people in Morelia.
I want to go to learn Spanish, because the cost of living is low, to not be in the USA when it goes crazy, and force myself to work on myself in a challenging environment (foreign country where I don't know anyone, introvert, only a middling command of the language, etc.).
In a very real sense I am running away. But the only thing that I am running from is the chaos in the US. All of my other problems are about me and they are coming with me.
Getting in shape, doing LRM exercises every day, and trying new things and being out going are all going to take real effort and dedication on my part. A complete change of venue is a good time to establish new habits.
