Divination Offering

Some time has passed so here is another divination offering. If you have a question, I'll be happy to use geomancy or the tarot about it. That said, divination is like weather forecasting not a tablet of truth handed down from above, so take the advice I give you through the reading as such. The conditions that divination taps into are also in constant flux, the same as atmospheric pressure and the Moon.

Instructions Please leave a little bit of background about your situation or, if you practice magic, or are up for an experiment do the following. Take note of the time and place where you are and leave it in the comments. Take a moment to put both your mind and and your body into the present moment, feel your weight, your thoughts and your environment, become present. Perform your banishing ritual if you have one, if not, an opening prayer is enough. Before you imagine a door with a sacred sign for you and the time and place of your location inscribed in golden letters. In your imagination, stand up, walk and open the door. You have entered my private divining room, and yes, it has multiple rooms and this one is just for you. In the room there is a table with a red cloth and a deck of cards. Focus on your query or situation and shuffle the cards there. Leave the deck for me to pick up and you can go out the door, close it and return to your body. Close with another banishing or closing prayer or clap once loudly.

Please noteBe sure to ask questions to which you want to know the answer. Also, divination doesn't always tell you about things you already know about, actually, it almost never does! My suggestion is that you question yourself, especially on things that make you think or flinch if any, and consider the points mentioned from a stance of possibility not of confirmation bias or it's diametrical opposite, falsification bias.

It still doesn't look very promising and my Tarot suggests you start looking for opportunities just in case, but not too far, say into a different field or something. However, just as my previous reading with Geomancy, my Tarot seems to suggest that if you do get fired, your next opportunity would be better and you would be overall happier. ( I found that quite interesting, out of divinatory curiosity!).

"The combination of fate and luck dwells in you. Take the crease in-between the roads" --I have no idea what that means, but it popped up. Does it mean anything to you?

My Tarot is suggesting that you seek relief from internal suffering right now and focus on recovering you mental strength and balance. "He/She should look inward. Running away from it won't get you anywhere, get back to where it started".

Something you are not seeing is that you are not taking a hard look into your life because you are rushing or going to fast into looking outside of you, but my Tarot suggests that if you want your life to take into a less confusing direction, you need to look inward, and take a good, proper, sustained look at it.

My Tarot is suggesting that you are not approaching the situation with clarity and taking all the implications and context into consideration and that you might be looking too much into the progressiveness of the neighborhood because it is a topic that creates a lot of feelings in you.

Moving is not the best right now and that doing so, at least right now and for the next year would be reckless and create less good and well-being than what you think you can get out of it and might become a burden for you, even if it provides some rest from the progressive situation.

That said, even though my Tarot seems to think holding on to your property for now is a better idea, it also seems to suggest that taking a vacation into a rural area or somewhere you like might be a good step towards getting insights about this.

My Tarot thinks that more than overthinking, you are having too much inertia and it also seems to be that using the version your tutors are recommending would be good and open new possibilities for you and take you into new territory. It is suggesting that if you want to follow that path, don't attach to what you want to incorporate from some other ideas you have and focus on the course you will be starting, otherwise you might end up fighting the course instead of enjoying it.

He does seem to be unsatisfied with the situation but, at least according to my cards, he doesn't seem to be emotionally hurt about the situation but rather unsatisfied and concerned about the behavior and your relationship with alcohol.

It does seem to me, that you are coming to alcohol for a reason that you need to uncover and my Tarot suggest, that in order for you to amend the situation with your husband regarding your alcohol problem is to, well, get yourself straight and decisive about what you are going to do about it so that he can have the confidence that you've seen and care about the situation in order to solve it, in a pragmatic kind of way. Basically, here is the problem, what are we doing about it? He needs to see that you are committed to the realization that its a problem that needs to get solved.

Weather this is accurate or not, while doing the reading a got a sense and just want to refine my skills so will ask. Did your father have a drinking problem by any chance?

My Tarot suggests that you don't focus on the magic only for now and that you try to keep a balance between these two. Pay attention to your job and do it quickly if you want to keep it. Whatever choice you take, my Tarot is asking you to value what you have even though it might have things you do not appreciate about your job.

Long term for the IT job, you might not like it but it will open possibilities for you. For the magician path, don't get obsessed with it as there are things you have not yet matured about magic to take full advantage of it.

First time hearing that phrase! The thing that comes to mind is a bit more of astronomical bent since I've been reading up on that. My 2 strongest planets, near identical in that respect, are Saturn and Jupiter, which I'd associate with fate and good fortune respectively (and both are in houses that effect career and finances). Halfway between them, I have Venus in Aquarius, whose symbol can resemble a crease, from a certain pov. Perhaps a focus on Venus may be the effective middle ground moving forward.

Thank you very much for your response and reading. This makes a lot of sense as unfortunately inertia plays a prominent role in my life now, not just in magic. Part of this is due to being drawn in half a dozen directions and wanting to do things my way. I need to learn both humility and patience and learn to keep my neurodivergent mind fixed on one course of study at a time. I read this when you posted it, and I have been finding that it is more and more true.

My mother declares a drinking problem, my father continues to drink but it does not seem to affect his relationships.

As far as lifestyle changes: absolute abstention. I have tried to drink moderately before and I still find that any amount of drinking induces personality changes that don't stand up to my moral code.

I am thankful for this forthright answer and I know that I have been forthright with a heavy topic. I find it is the best way to be lighten the load.

Hmm. Ok thanks for the feedback. My tarot seems to suggest a father figure involved in your drinking problem, so if it's helpful at all, consider in which ways your parents have affected your own drinking problem regardless of the consequences it might or might not bring to them.

As for forthright, I have to thank you for the confidence with such a topic and I'm truly grateful you've listen to what I have to say through the cards. My Tarot is very direct and frank, and I sometimes have trouble toning it down!

By the way, from my friends that have had a problem with alcohol, they report the same thing, a little doesn't work when it has created an addiction and they suggest to not say to yourself "I'm not drinking ever again" but rather "I'm not drinking today". That way is easier as a goal and doesn't invite temptation from the subconscious; as well as being easy on yourself through the process.

Believe me, I get the neurodivergence part!

And exactly, you can always return and if you follow it as instructed you'll learn two lessons at once --training your will despite the temptations and finishing something as given without modifying. It's hard to make the decision but, to my mind, it will be more enjoyable to say that's how it's going to be and then not have to fight your mind about it on every lesson.
