Alas, not an optimistic reading. Oh well, better to know and prepare.

My only thought regarding populus is it's reflective of a) some things are set already in these areas or b) its indicative of the layoff being related to broader or macro situations that are likely to hit next year. Just my two cents for what it's worth.
